python-statsmodels software package provides Python module for the estimation of statistical models, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-statsmodels
python-statsmodels is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-statsmodels package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-statsmodels *
You will get with python-statsmodels package name, version, architecture and description in a table
